pacificpikachu: (Sunset Kiba)
I'm sorry, everyone--I guess I'm in a bit of a rambling mood tonight.

My sore throat is, thankfully, retreating. Unfortunately, in its place is congestion and stuffiness. I hope this leaves quickly, too--preferably before Friday. (Or Monday at the latest!) Oh well--I don't feel too awful, and it's mostly just a minor annoyance.

Now that I have survived my Wednesday, I only have to make it through Zoology lab tomorrow and SPRING BREAK YESSSS! Zoology lab is going to be extremely easy, too--it just consists of looking at specimens and doing sketches of them. No big deal.

When I've gone out into the shed to get the chicken food the last few mornings, there has been a deer mouse (possibly the same one, possibly two different ones) trapped in the bucket that I normally transport the chicken food with. It's a really adorable little mouse--I've been taking it out across the property and releasing it into the blackberry bushes there. If it happens again, though, I think an Operation Mouse Relocation is in place. XD I'll probably go release it down the street or something.

School was uneventful today. The highlight of the day was that my mom was at an appointment when Ari dropped me off at Flour Garden, so I went to the Salvation Army and started rooting through their book selection. It was an impressive amount of books and they were super-cheap, so I bought: The Wonder of Birds (big huge National Geographic photo book), Lord of the Flies (because I love it and and just realized I don't actually own it), Ghosts I've Met (paranormal books are intriguing), Prodigal Summer and Pigs in Heaven (because I read The Poisonwood Bible and loved it; therefore I wanted to check out more of the authors' works), and Snow Falling on Cedars (I've heard it's good!). I also bought two Sarah McLachlan CDs for $2 each--partly for my dad's birthday and partly for my own enjoyment. 8D I'll have to return there to find more books soon--they have quite a selection, and I was tempted by a number of other books. I mean, $2.75 for hardcover and $.75 for softcover is pretty nice when there's such a good selection.

I did quite a few pet-related chores today; I did the usual chicken things plus collecting all the eggs from the past week or so (I put the dirty ones on top of a platform bird feeder for the jays to enjoy), cleaning the guinea pig cage, and just taking care of all the animals in general. While I was out and about taking care of things, a warm rain started falling from the sky. It was brief, but quite nice--I didn't bother putting on a coat and just wandered in the rain for a while.

I spent the other day watching a TON of AMVs for hours, and seeing as I found another absolutely AMAZING Tutu AMV, I have made finishing Princess Tutu top priority. I really did enjoy the first half; I just need to sit down and rewatch the first half before starting the second half so I can avoid confusion. I'll probably just marathon it all in one sitting sometime next week. :D Then I need to get watching a bunch of other series on my list.

I need to plan for my birthday party tomorrow once I get out of class! I want it to be awesome despite the fact that not everyone is going to be able to come. I'm not a big "party" person like Nicole is so I don't expect a ton of people to be there, but I at least want it to be a fun/geeky event for those who do come. I know there will be cosplay and AMVs and possibly Pioneer Park involved; we'll see if I can think of any other brilliant plans in the meantime.

I apologize if I'm not commenting much/responding to comments much lately. I feel like by the time I get home I'm too exhausted to comment to a lot of things, so I just leave the tabs open (sometimes for days) in hopes that I get to them eventually. But, despite my trying, I'm not always able to get to it. :( I have so many posts on my friends list every day... It kind of makes me want to do a friends-cut so my f-list is more manageable, but I like all of you guys so much that it would be difficult for me to cut ANY of you. Oh well. At least my f-list keeps me very entertained when I'm bored!

I have a random rant on anime fandom I've been wanting to make for some time, but... I don't know. It seems like, if I wrote it, it would just be a bunch of whining for pages about things that might just boil down to fairly minor issues I have with a few of my RL friends. I don't know--we'll see. It's been building up for a while, though, and I might write one up if I'm in the right mood to do so. It just feels so...unsubstantiated, I guess. Or maybe it isn't? Ah, whatever. If I feel like writing it, I'll write it--otherwise, well...I guess I'll just keep thinking about it.

I also need to do a room pictures post! As always, though, I've got stuff on the way from [livejournal.com profile] pkmncollectors, so we'll see when I actually get to that. I want to show it off, though! XD I love my geeky room.

Okay, I think I'm done rambling about absolutely nothing for the night. FINALLY.
