Awww the puppy reminds me of Lily. It makes me both happy and sad at the same time. Like I expected, the puppy gives me huge amounts of happiness and I LOVE HER SO MUCH OMG, but it still hurts when I think about losing Lily. :( I think, in a way, though, Lily lives on in the puppy. I know it sounds corny and overly optimistic and a little ridiculous, but...seriously. The puppy brought me a sock today, first thing in the morning.

For those who don't know, Lily would always obsessively bring us socks so we would throw them for her. That's not the only eerily Lily-like thing she's done so far, either. Even her facial expressions look a lot like Lily's.

She whimpered a little when I shut her in the carrier last night, but she went to bed pretty quickly and slept all night without difficulties. Normally the first day a puppy is away from his or her family, they whine a lot and are unhappy in general, but this puppy mostly just took it in stride.

She had an accident this morning after she woke me up at 7 AM, but that was my fault because I didn't think she needed to go out and she did. Oh well, no big deal. I cleaned it up and ended up bringing the puppy with me in bed and cuddling with her. She's so cuddly--when I go sit down by her carrier, she always comes out and gives me kisses on the face and curls up in my lap. Seriously, she's the sweetest puppy. ♥

I played with her a lot today, took her on lots of walks in the freezing rain, gave her her first bath (she was very good), and took care of her in general. She spent a lot of time in my lap today sleeping. She also likes watching the computer. XD;

D'awwww, I love her. I need to take pictures! So badly! She has a really tiny little tail and she wags it at you and makes the most Lily-like face ever when you talk to her. She already comes when I call her or whistle at her, too. She troops around the yard, following me, and loves playing with random things in my room. I gave her a stuffed rabbit that she sleeps with and plays with.

She's going to be such a great dog. She's still nameless at this point, though the two names we're seriously considering are Hana and Maaya (yes, after Maaya Sakamoto).

Poor thing--I feel so bad that she has to be locked in the bathroom tonight because Mom's at work and I'm at Dad's. She'll be fine, but it's so sad.

Anyway, I think you guys get the idea that I absolutely love my puppy, and while I could easily ramble about her for another ten pages or so, I think I'll refrain due to homework.

Speaking of homework, doing homework with a puppy in the house is extremely difficult. XD;

It took FOREVER to catch the male pheasant today. D:
