Yesterday was a good day, though it ended on a pretty bad note with the whole Steve Irwin thing. :/

After putting the ducks out and caring for all the other animals, Mom and I headed out on Mccourtney to go to an 'Open Barn' for a stable that breeds and sells Andalusian horses. Mom and I spent at least an hour there watching the presentations they did showing off the horses and walking around the stables petting said horses. The horses were so beautiful--Andalusians are just gorgeous. *_* Also, they had at least four baby horses, who were soooo cute. There was one baby who was about two or three weeks old who was almost pure white (augh, I wanted him!), and also a really cute week-old baby (who I also wanted). Not that I'd actually ever get a baby horse, as I'm not as obsessed with horses as my Mom, but I loved them!

After that ended at about two, we headed off to a dog show that was going on at the fairgrounds. I didn't get to spend as much time there as I would have liked, but we watched some of the shows and wandered around looking at the vendors and at various dogs. There was a corgi puppy there that was so perfect... Whenever I get a corgi, I hope it's as beautiful as she was. Also, while we were there a dachsund escaped his pen and proceeded to cause chaos by dashing as fast as his little legs would carry him until he was captured a good twenty minutes later. XD;; Quite the amusing spectacle.

From there, I went home with Mom and took care of the pets before Mom took off for work. I packed up and went with her because Dad picked me up there. I was apprehensive about leaving my ducks and pheasants alone for the night, but they were fine. However, just as we were arriving hom with Dad, I remembered I forgot my laptop charger at Mom's. ._.:;; Sooo we took off again and retrieved that, much to Dad's annoyance.

At Dad's, Dave (Dad's friend) came over and we all had spagetti with tomato sauce and olives. After dinner, Dave and I got in a discussion about the paranormal, which somehow turned into a discussion about 9/11,. O_o;; Long story short, we all ended up watching 911 in Plane Sight because Dad and Ryan hadn't seen it. Such a fascinating documentary, though I do question how much of it actually holds up to scrutiny.

Today was a little boring, but it was fine. I hooked Tabi-kun up, burned some CDs and data DVD-Rs to transfer to Tabi-kun, and the like. I spent the first four or five hours of my day doing Chem homework. That was a little frustrating, especially because some of the problems were just strange, but I survived. Later in the day, Dad, Ryan, and I all took a trip to Staples, where we didn't do anything, and then to Kmart and Radioshack, where similar amounts of nothingness occurred. Then we went home and ended up watching documentaries on Steve Irwin's life on Animal Planet, which made me sad again. :( Now, basically I'm just here typing away and getting used to Tabi-kun's keyboard.

I'm not particularly looking forward to six hours of Chemistry tomorrow.

Despite six hours of Chemistry, plus about an hour and a half of homework, plus animal cage cleaning and lots of errands, I'm surprisingly awake today. O_o;

I woke up at about 8:15 AM and spent a while perusing the internet before Mom picked me up for school. While doing so, I discovered [livejournal.com profile] cf_hardcore had been deleted and thus went "WTF? Why?!" for a while. Meanwhile, I joined its temporary branch-off community just in case it didn't resurface. I visit that community at least a few times a day, so I baffled and rather unhappy with the whole thing.

Chemistry was just fine today. ^^;; We did a long experiment, took notes, the usual. I got out a little early because I finished my lab report quickly, so while I waited about an hour and a half for Mom to pick me up, I sat in the sun and did my Chem homework that's due next Thursday. Shockingly enough, I almost finished it! :O

Mom picked me up when I had about four problems to go. We went off to go get some food at a sandwich place (I had a veggie wrap and a root beer float), and then we went to Dad's so I could gather all my stuff to stay at Mom's. Mom had a doctor's appointment, so while she was at that I amused myself by switching on Tabi-kun in the waiting room, borrowing Ryan's headphones, and rocking out to AMVs. I occasionally took Solitaire breaks and once I did a little slideshow, but it was mostly all about the AMVs.

We took a few more trips after that, including but perhaps not limited to: Staples, Walker's Office Supply, and Raley's. At Staples, we bought a printer cable for printer #1 at Mom's, at Walker's, we bought an actual printer (for me! Yay! That means I now have three printers... O_o;; I'm not sure why). It's fairly light and compact, plus it was only $40, so it was worth it. I looked at laptop bags for a while, too, but they were all reeeeally expensive. Plus, I want a way nifty looking one. Food buying happened at Raley's.

At home, I cleaned the pheasant and duck cages. The pheasants made their first successful outdoor outing (in a nice cage, of course), as the last time I tried it, they were all like "Whyyyyy?! OMGI'MGOINGTODIEEEE!" and tried wriggling through the cage bars, which they could actually do when they were that small. Anyway, this time they were much more relaxed.

Tonight is the ducks' first night sleeping outdoors. It's a little nerve-wracking because I keep thinking some wild animal is going to get them or something, but chances are they'll be just fine. They wouldn't stay in the chicken house, so I ended up setting up a crate for them with straw, food, and water and covered by towels so nothing outside can see them.

I've been seriously considering applying for [livejournal.com profile] campfuckudie because it's all just so entertaining and fun and I would just *LOVE* to participate, buuuuut:

a) I'm worried I won't have enough time to keep up on everything. :( With college, pets, the fact that I actually like sleeping, and that I neglect lots of other things I should be doing (ie, watching anime, drawing, writing, etc.) it would be pushing it.
b) It seems so complicated and I've never, ever RPed a character before.
c) I'm not sure which character I would like to do. I'm sort of thinking Itsuki, but...maybe not. I don't know if I could write him well enough.

We'll see. If I get a flash of genius and think of a great concept for the application and come up with a character who I just know I could pull off and love it, I might apply.

That's about it. I suppose I'll go finish my Chem homework, maybe do some brainstorming for the in-class essay in English tomorrow (luckily, our first and last in-class essay), and read the newest Time magazine.

Good night!
