Well, today I went to Chemistry for its dreadful six hours, we did an easy lab, and...yeah. Read Time magazine for a while while waiting for Mom to pick me up. We went to Uptown Burrito for lunch, and I bought some newspaper for the duck/pheasant/guinea pig cages. The Sacramento Bee paper dispenser took my fifty cents. D: Traumatic. Then, to continue the trauma, my bag that had my burrito, chips, and salsa in it somehow got soaked and the bottom of the bag gave out. The salsa went "splat" on the pavement. Drama ensued. Except not really.

I went home and sat around for a while. I watched a TV show on something I can't remember, but whatever it was, it was interesting. I cleaned the duck, pheasant, and guinea pig cages (did you notice my brilliant foreshadowing for this event in the previous paragraph? XD;), brought the ducks in from their first full day in the chicken coop (which they seem to have enjoyed a lot), and did Statistics homework for about an hour. I walked the dogs at some point, watched a show on demonic possession and then a show on serial killers (does this worry anyone?). During the demonic possession shows, I freaked out because both Princess and CC escaped the house. For those who don't know, the cats aren't allowed outside at night because we live in a rural area and there are lots of predators out and about.

Well, first CC was out, so I started calling for her out the front door. As I was doing this, Princess somehow managed to escape, too. Eventually I lured CC in with food, but meanwhile Princess was still out there. Princess is normally very obedient for a cat (as in, she comes when she's called), so I figured I'd just call her every fifteen minutes or so until she came in. So, I continued watching my demonic possession show. While that was on, I heard a bloodcurdling cat screech.

I can't even TELL you how much it scared me. I started frantically running around the house, calling and calling and calling for Princess. After about five or ten minutes of doing this, I seriously started thinking she had just been killed. Just then. I almost starting crying, and I hugged Tia and just about freaked out (I even looked out front, and because it was dark, thought some moisture droplets from who-knows-what outside the door were blood), but I continued calling and she came up. I was so relieved I just hugged her for about five minutes. It was really scary.

That said, I think the scream was a bobcat. We have quite a few of them around here (though I've only seen one) and once I got over the "OMG that was my cat's dying scream--NO NO NO THIS ISN'T HAPPENING", it didn't sound too much like a normal cat. Now all I have to worry about are the chickens, but I think they're pretty safe. Every other one of our animals (horse excluded) is either indoors or on the deck.

Oh, by the way, my laptop came today! YAY! The only problem with this is that it was shipped to Dad's, and I'm not at Dad's. Nor can I really go to Dad's, because I have my baby ducks and pheasants, and they're hard to bring back and forth, and they need my care. So, I didn't get to meet my laptop today. :( Once I meet him, I'll have to think of a nice name for him.

Anyway, yeah. That was my day. It was dramatic.
