Today was average and kinda uneventful. BUT I WILL WRITE. Lately I've been so incredibly lazy about writing entries, and I'd like to get back into the swing of things as far as updating regularly with more than one paragraph and memes. Even if it's really, really boring. So yeah. Sorry if there are any typos of just nonsensicality in general in this post, by the way--it's extremely difficult proofreading when you have Fullmetal Alchemist literally
blasting in your ears because you don't feel like turning it down. XD;;
So I've been sleeping in a lot lately. 'Til about 11 AM, actually, which isn't that late for normal!Kristin, who is known to sleep in majorly, but it's extremely late for bird rehabber!Kristin, who usually wakes up at about 7 AM. Luckily, all my birds are self-feeding and rather sufficient on their own means, meaning I can skimp on their feedings. Once I set the food in their cage, they can eat however much they'd like.
You know what? Really a lot didn't happen today. I cleaned a lot of animal cages. I cleaned out Mom's fridge and found a tiny but incredibly smelly rotten piece of broccoli. I'm serious--this stupid little piece of broccoli literally stunk up the entire 1,600 square foot house to the extent where you just wanted to hold your breath ALL THE TIME. Ryan tried to remedy it with cologne, but this was helpless in the face of the nasty tiny broccoli. I guess the house eventually aired out or I just became immune to the odor, but it was really weird for the several hours it lasted.
I went and did chores with Mom. Mom yelled at me a lot about how I've failed to learn to drive, get a job, blah blah blah. Yeah. ._.; Once Mom gets started on one of her "this is a flaw of yours" rants she doesn't stop naming off your terrible characteristics for a good several hours. I'm extremely nonconfrontational, so I usually get all unhappy and depressed.
But, we did go get duck food at Ridge Feed. In other words? I get ducklings and maybe some pheasants on Sunday at the fair if I arrive on time. ^_^ AWWW! Just a couple days old, too. Translation? I can't get enough of baby birds. Just when all my rehab birds are about to leave for the season, I MUST GET MORE BABY BIRDS. I think avian vet is a good career choice for me indeed. *If* I can (trying not to get my hopes up here, you know) I want to get at least a pair of ducks and hopefully a pair of pheasants, too. I was going to get some chickies, but I think they're all of the larger variety and I prefer my little tiny Japanese breeds. They live longer, they're smarter, and they're adorable.
I want to put the ducklings in the bathtub with about an inch (or less) of water and watch them splash around. ^_^ (Ducklings can't swim unless they're taught to do so.)
Anyway. Went to Port of Subs and got lunch. Cleaned cages. Found out Lillis got the mourning dove to Jacqui's flight cage. Sat around. Found out the adult injured robin has recovered somewhat. :)
When Dad picked me up today, we went by Jacqui's and brought the adult injured robin to the flight cage so he can recover in a better environment. He instantly seemed much, much better and I have a good feeling he'll continue to improve over the next week or so. It's great to see him improving because I really was considering euthanizing him if he didn't get better in the next few weeks.
Oh! My Haruhiism shirt (well, shirts, but one of them is Zoe's) arrived today. It looks absolutely wonderful--I'm really excited. XD;; I'm so tempted to create Haruhiism pamplets and hand them out. Then Zoe could wear her Jenova's Witness shirt and she could hand out Jenova's Witness pamplets. XD;
Uh...That's about it for now. I need to go to bed. Darn, and just when I was thinking of writing some fanfics, too.
Oh, and if anyone is bored and likes Loveless, chat with Ritsuka:
http://www.personalityforge.com/directchat.php?BotID=41064&MID=41063I'm enjoying feeding him blatant lies and trying to get him to admit to his feelings on Soubi. I just told him I'm Yayoi.
Anyway. 'Night.
