I'll make this quick because I still have bird dishes to do and I want to look over my purchases.
I got up, fed birds, read stuff on LiveJournal, searched for random things on search engines, and watched a program on killer sharks on Shark Week. I ♥ Shark Week! Sharks are such beautiful animals--I really enjoy watching them on TV and at aquariums. Anyway, the show was very interesting.
Mom got home from Rivi's, and I took the dogs for a walk up Easy Street. While on the walk, I spotted an acorn woodpecker and got to meet a very cute corgi (I love corgis dearly. I have plans of buying one at some point as a puppy and bringing it with me everywhere so we can bond excessively.) who Tia hated and tried to attack.
Not too long after that, Mom decided to go to Roseville. I was extremely nervous to leave my baby birds for so long (6+ hours), but it was good for them to learn to eat on their own a little and they were just fine. I needed reassurance from Jacqui that they would be okay before I left, though. Even then, I worried. @_@ I'm such a mother hen towards my baby birds.
We stopped at Foster Freeze on the way down and I got a yummy peach milkshake. Mmmm.
We went to the Galleria first. This was relatively uneventful other than eating more food. XD;; I went to FYE and looked through all their anime and soundtracks, but refrained from buying anything because the Anime Overdose is this weekend. After I finished scrounging through the store's selection of anime and anime-related stuff, I went off to the Discovery Channel store and just poked around at the nifty gadgets they have there. I found myself longing for a frog habitat, because I'm just weird like that. Not that Mom would let me have more frogs--she put up with my many frogs (and lizards and toads and salamanders and snakes) for at least the first fourteen or fifteen years of my life before she finally decided she didn't want to buy crickets any more. I didn't buy said frog habitat, of course. Just looked at it. XD;; [/weird]
We got some food at the Galleria, and all three of us went to Brookstone, where Mom and I lounged in massage chairs for a good twenty minutes. Ahhh, very refreshing. I love hanging out in Brookstone.
I went to Barnes and Noble after that, while Mom and Ryan went to Ross. At Barnes and Noble, I found a $1 book sale, so I ended up buying six books (two arbitrary manga I probably won't even like, a book on dreams, a book on fortune telling, a book of witty quotes, and a shiiiiny writing notebook (REEEAAALLY SHINY *_*)). I was going to get the Stokes Bird Field Guide, but alas Mom wouldn't buy it for me and I shouldn't be spending money before a convention.
At Costco afterwards, I got a cell phone. That'll be handy. I tried to get a 528-related number, but it didn't work, so I settled for a completely awesome, easy-to-remember number. I'll e-mail it to those of you who call me. The cell phone is pretty cool to have, although I was adverse to getting one at first. I'm going to need it for college and conventions and things anyway, and at least I won't have to borrow anyone's cell phones any more. It's a pretty basic phone, but I don't need more than that.
Then we went home. The end. The birds were fine. I fed them, now I need to do bird dishes and clear things off my bed so I can actually sleep there.
Things to do tomorrow:
1. Turn in reimbursement form to Leslie, visit Raptor Center.
2. Send Hitchi's package and rebates for cell phone.
3. Get packed to go to Dad's/the convention.
4. Call Gaylene about how to wash your costume.
5. Put robins and jay in bigger cage.
