First off, I wanted to share a couple of dreams.

The night before last, I had a somewhat amusing dream.

I guess my friends and I were at a rally or assembly of some sort at NU. It was outdoors, there was a stage, and a bunch of people watching. For some vague reason, we went up and decided to sing karaoke to the Evangelion theme song to entertain the audience. There had been no rehearsals or anything beforehand--it was very spur-of-the-moment. Because I know the lyrics the best out of everyone (which doesn't make sense, because in the dream everyone knew all the lyrics, unlike in real life where I am one of a few in my group of friends who know them all), I ended up as the lead singer with everyone else (20+ people) doing backup. Well, for whatever reason the audience was utterly entralled with us, so we were told to sing at an assembly indoors. We were told the audience couldn't hear us well enough outdoors, you see.

Well, my friends and I took off to the Don Baggett Theater to prepare for our big performance. At this point, for no reason yet again, we decided the karaoke wasn't enough and some of the backup singers/my friends ran off to find people from the band to do instrumentation. Meanwhile, I waited around by the stage, feeling stressed because I thought the concert was supposed to start earlier than it actually was going to. I was worried the audience would get bored unless we performed right away.

After a while of waiting around, stressing, etc., we performed again and did even better than the last time (a flawless performance, actually). It was kind of cool, because while I was on the stage, it was really realistic and detailed. It actually looked like the view off the stage in the Don Baggett theater, with tons of faces staring back and looking impressed. And as I was up there singing, I thought, very clearly and almost lucidly, "Wow, this is just like Haruhi episode 12!" which caused me even more glee. We finished the song to roaring applause, and that was the end of the dream. I think.

Last night I had a simple, hard-to-remember dream concerning myself and [livejournal.com profile] placetohide hanging out in what I assume was a very colorful, art-supply-laden college dorm and drawing together. We kept pushing each other to do better by offering encouragement and constructive criticism, and we were really having a good time. Something involving some sort of animal happened later (though I can't remember what it was), and the dream was actually quite long, but that's all I remember about it. It was abstract later on.

Sooo, yesterday we had the Haruhi marathon. The actual watching and enjoyment of the show was wonderful as usual, but unfortunately, everyone but Zoe and Shannon cancelled! I was a little miffed about this, because I had been constantly asking when people were free, almost everyone agreed that they were free on Wednesday, and then they all ended up not showing up. Grr. I'll probably try to hold yet another Haruhi marathon at a different time, though I'll probably wait a month or so. :/ I don't want to completely overload myself on watching the entirity of the shown over and over again. Gah, it's hard organizing things when people are vague and cancel last minute.

Zoe, Shannon, and I had fun watching it, though. We took quite a few food breaks and I had to leave a bunch for bird feedings, but it was a lot of fun rewatching it and laughing nonetheless. I noticed a lot of things the second time I didn't notice the first time, so that made it really worthwhile, too. When we finished the show, we still had some time left, so we ended up on YouTube watching totally random things like Para Para dances and such. Shannon left not too long after that.

Zoe and I watched bad television for a while (until I finished my bird chores, and also until Mom came home so we could finish dinner), and I finally showed Zoe the end of Wolf's Rain. Meanwhile, Mom wandered around and was distracting, thus removing me from most of my usual mental and emotional response to said last four episodes. Zoe had some quibbles with the ending that I didn't have (she didn't like how they villefied Darcia, and a couple of other things), but overall was satisfied with the ending.

After that ended, Zoe and I got in bed and talked about Wolf's Rain, Haruhi, and what scares us/horror movies for a good three or more hours. We went to bed past 1 AM.

The blackbirds started their cackling at about 6 AM, though I managed to ignore them and the rest of the cacophony of bird sounds until 7:40 AM. Then I staggered out of bed (leaving Zoe), got everyone food, and fed the grosbeak and wren. I then went back to sleep, only waking up every forty minutes to feed the baby birds. This continued til about 10 AM, which was when I finally sort of woke up, along with Zoe.

We then proceeded to watch the worst TV we could find for the rest of the day. We watched commercials for holy water. We watched a hysterical, angry woman preaching in a way that was just so strange that I could not determine whether she was supposed to be yelling or singing. She was kind of doing both. We watched soap operas. We watched...um...other stuff I can't remember. Then we watched Men in Black randomly, which is actually pretty funny. Then Zoe went home and I dedicated myself to cleaning bird cages.

Ugh, I'm tired. ._.; Not that I've done anything, and I got a sufficient (if partially interrupted and containing the background music of blackbirds cackling) amount of sleep, but I'm darn exhausted. I'm leaving for a weeklong trip to Tahoe on Saturday, so I also spent some time making hotel reservations and confirming our whitewater rafting trip (yay! It's been awhile! I ♥ whitewater rafting!), and talking to Jacqui about the plan when it comes to who is watching the birds (she is), who is going in the flight cage, etc. The birdies are going to her house/the flight cage tomorrow, so I'm going to miss them. :( I have to admit, though--a weeklong, relaxing break in Tahoe sounds really nice right about now. Actually have time to spend with my relatives, be able to listen to music in the car (haha, originally typed 'cage'), have time to draw? YES.

I really am going to miss the birds, though, and it is saddening to me that Mock-Mock won't be in my room when I get back. :( Mock-Mock will be in the flight cage. The blackbirds are loud, though, so as much as I enjoy them and am proud to have raised them, I think I'm ready to let them go. They're a rambunctious couple. Luckily I'll be getting the wren and the grosbeak and maybe (hopefully) the goldfinches back. I think the house finches will go to the flight cage, too, even if it might be a little later than everyone else.

Well, I'm sick of typing and want to go relax. Good night!
