Wow, despite a distinct lack of sleep, today worked out pretty well overall.

Zoe came over yesterday. I can't remember a lot of what we did in the day--I know we watched some videos on YouTube, cared for the birds, etc. I was pretty stressed because we still hadn't worked out our hotel problem for Anime Expo, I had to work out where my seven birds were going and how they were getting there, I had packing for Anime Expo to do, the Pillows concert is upcoming, and just life in general was chaotic. I was planning on going to Dad's, as Mom was supposed to work last night, but she ended up being on call and Dad never called, so it was somewhat late when I called him and he didn't want to pick me up. Well, I had packing for AX to do and a camera to pick up at his house, and I was under a lot of pressure, so I ended up whining at him until he agreed to meet us halfway at Ridge Feed. I felt bad being so whiny and demanding in front of my friend, but, well, I couldn't really help it. I was pretty much a stress wreck.

I put the birds to bed when we got to his house, printed AX schedules/gathering lists, directions to AX, directions to the Pillows concert, and other stuff. Zoe and I spent a while on my bed going through the schedule and circling what we want to go to, so I need to work on compiling that list into my own comprehensive schedule so I don't forget to go to anything. I went digging around in my merchandise for stuff I'm going to want signed at AX (ie, the Fullmetal Alchemist artbook to be signed by Mizushima Seiji and Paku Romi, the RahXephon artbook to be signed by Yutaka Izubuchi, etc.).

When we finished this, we started watching some Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu because Zoe needed to catch up on four episodes. Ahh! I LOVE THIS SERIES. I WILL SAY THIS OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN UNTIL...UH...I DON'T KNOW. I LOVE IT. It was really nice to watch those four episodes over again, and we were both completely infatuated with the show again after watching it. Afterwards, even though it was about midnight at that point, we went on the image boards on http://www.sos-dan.com and looked at random Haruhi fanart. We went to bed after an hour or so of browsing that.

I had hopes of actually getting some sleep, seeing as the birds are usually up by 6:30 AM, but Zoe and I ended up talking until 5 AM. So much for that sleep. We slept for about and hour, but after that I in my sleep-deprived form had to stagger out of bed and feed the hungry, chirpy little birdies. I slept in between doing that, but I was sooo out of it. Mom picked us up at 8:30 AM or so, and Zoe and I were both exhausted. We were going to go back to sleep (or for me, periods of napping between feeding the birds), but we somehow ended up watching this awful anime called MoonPhase. We watched two episodes, poking fun of it all the way, and very baffled by the contrast between the theme song and the actual show. It made good entertainment while completely sleep-deprived, but other than that I would never, EVER recommend it to anyone other than shameless fanboys. We also watched some short clips of interviews with random fans from conventions and other stuff. It was so exciting to see a commercial for AX!

Zoe and I, again, watched random videos on YouTube (most notably, some Man-Faye videos and really weird Death Note-related videos), and cracked up hysterically when we found several of these videos. There was this one with a twelve or thirteen year old boy in a purple wig pretending to be Misa Misa and saying some odd indistiguishable phrase

I felt bad because later in the day, I had to sort of abandon Zoe in order to get the birds out to people. She continued surfing YouTube and such, but I had to run around frantically and clean cages and make sure all the birdsitters had sufficient information on their respective species and enough supplies.

Zoe and I then watched the 13th episode of Haruhi, which was not as entertaining as the previous episodes. However it was extremely insightful, intriguing, and very philosophical, so that made up for its lack of silliness or fun. Zoe left not too long after this, and once she did I went immediately to bed and didn't wake up until 9 PM.

OMG--I totally can't believe we get to see The Pillows tomorrow! They just released a press release saying they're going to be at the Kinokuniya Bookstore in Japantown doing a Q&A session, so...YAY! I'm hoping I'll get a chance to meet them and get some autographs and pictures there. *Crosses fingers* I can't wait!

And by the way, Mom, through some tough negotiating with the hotel, managed to get our reservations back--and for $50 cheaper per night than we would have had to pay if they didn't acknowledge their mistake. OMGYES! :DDD SOOO EXCITED (but very much in denial again)!

Now I'm going back to bed, so...um...good night!
