(no subject)
Jun. 2nd, 2006 09:03 pmGah, I have been so tired lately and I have no idea *why*. Ah well. Seeing as I haven't written a single word on my Fanime report tonight, I figure I have no excuse to not write tonight. Though I'm lazy and would rather not type. :P
I listened to the Pilows all first period and slept. It was exciting, as I'm sure you can guess. The Pillows and the fact that there was sleep involved made it an enjoyable period. People occasionally pestered me to do things like critique their drawings and deliver stuff to the attendance office, but I mostly just slept. All period. Okay, this is getting repetitive.
There is no work left to do in Government class (especially seeing as our final is playing dodgeball against Mr. Pilcher's class), so I took a random Advanced Psychology textbook out of Mr. Kreizenbeck's bookshelf and read it all period. I'm such a dork. ^^;; It was quite fascinating, really, though I knew much of what I was reading about. Mostly abnormal psychology, as that is what I am most fond of. It's very *cough* applicable in my life.
Third period was softball yet again. There really isn't much to say about that. I watched the clouds the whole time and zoned out.
Lunch I...uh...bought my cap and gown and yearbook and...talked to friends about things. Apparently Nicole somehow got addicted to Onegai Twins (don't even ask XD;;) and warned us about the dangers of watching it, Densha continued watching his video of milk rippling on his cell phone (so random), and such. Densha also obtained this really messy, disgusting plastic cup filled with gray, old, smelly glue and proceeded to play with it. I named it the Walrus Cup because there were two little dried glue-thingies hanging off of it and they reminded me of tusks. Somehow I got on a psychobabble about how the Walrus Cup is a cocoon for a Walrusfly, and it needs Densha's help to free it, despite Tony protesting that Densha was hurting it. Densha took out the dried parts of the glue by ripping apart the cup, creating a strange sculpturesque thing. He then used a permanant marker to draw a face on it, and ran off to Mr. Baxter to "get it graded" (he's not in the class, by the way). Mr. Baxter gave it a 300% and proceeded to emphatically proclaim how the Walrus Cup/Walrusfly statue changed his life.
...It was all rather odd.
My group of friends and I also talked to Jen about weird things like exploding fish stories and frogs sticking the wall and yaoi and I-don't-even-know-what. She told us we were adorable psychos. I want to put a dead jellyfish in a random person's yearbook.
Sixth period, lots of fun things happened. For one, there was my favorite type of tea and lots of food (cookies, apple pie, carrots, grapes, etc.), and also the whole class got to do all these random maneuvers in the hall with books for a video Sean is doing for Ms. Parker (who is retiring). Not only that--while we were answering questions in groups for 1984, Sean would call us out of class in twos so we could offer a succinct statement to Ms. Parker and then dance wildly for a few minutes to loud music. He's going to use all of this in the video. My former neighbor/classmate Rebecca and I danced together and had a glorious time. It was very amusing. XD;;
Seventh period mostly involved standing in long, irritating, slow-moving lines in the stuffy, deathly hot, smelly attendance office (way too many adjectives in that sentence, however I feel they are all necessary to create an atmosphere here) just to get these random pink sheets signed so we can graduate. It was very unpleasant. When it was all over, however, I got to go to the cool, quiet library and read Newsweek, so I was happy.
Mom was late picking me up, and...I'm going to skip all the boring stuff like picking up the birds. I was going to do pet chores after school but I was too exhausted to do much of anything besides feeding the birds and read, so that's what I did.
We packed up and went to Dad's, and that's where I am now. I've been trying to get Dad to drive us down to San Francisco on June 28th for the Pillows concert, but so far that's a no-go, so I might have to find a Plan B. T_T I am very unhappy about this.
However, on two random happy!notes:
1. One of the baby scrub jays (little guys, they are) escaped out of his basket into the wilderness that is my room. So, I spent about three minutes looking for him and located him under the computer. OMGTHEYARESOCUTE. And they HOP. I LOVE THINGS THAT HOP. He was very easy to catch, seeing as he only just learned to walk effectively and therefore he is not very fast or agile. They're at just about the most adorable age right now, though.
2. The sunset tonight? Prettiest thing I've seen in years. We're talking gigantic, bright pink thunderheads everywhere and magenta and gray and black and EVERYWHERE. It was so pretty we literally stopped the car in the middle of the road and got outside to gawk. Breathtaking. O_O We even got the briefest smattering of rain.
Anyway, that's all I have to say for today. I hope I'm not getting sick...I feel very slightly icky and sleepy. ._.; Not much, but it feels like it could turn into something unpleasant. Maybe.
