Rain and Wind
Feb. 27th, 2006 08:16 pmIt rained practically all night last night, at far as I could tell. I didn't want to wake up this morning, simply because it was warm and fluffy and nice in bed, and I love sleeping in to the sound of rain on the roof. But I got up anyway, as I must. Dad tried to talk me into wearing a coat, but I refused and took his huge black umbrella instead. It was a bit of a pain to lug around, but I really liked having it anyway. And it wasn't nearly as annoying as a coat would have been.
First period, I went to the attendance office to get a transcript (for college applications), but they said it would take twenty-four hours. Geez, they just can't make these things convenient, can they? Then I returned to the art room, stole the sharpie of some poor, innocent Freshman, and proceeded to work on my propaganda project. It's so beautiful--it's these stick figures of innies and outies, and...it cannot be described in words. XD; It's so obvious how little time and effort I put into the project, though. Oh well. At least it's funny. ^^;
During Government, I continued working on my propaganda project while the class discussed abortion. This is actually a very interesting topic by my standards, and it's something I feel very strongly on, but...y'know, class discussions are too troublesome to participate in. I was happy to find most of my classmates to be rather liberal, which is good and bad. It's good because we're all in general agreement over most issues, but it's bad because there won't be any fiery, passionate, insane debates.
If hell is anything like Mr. Humpher's PE class gone all eternal and such, I'd convert to Christianity. This is saying a lot coming from me. Anyway, we did "the circuit" today, and it sucked. The entire class was all exhausted and sweaty and red and about to die of heat stroke by the time it was all over. Generally a very, very unpleasant time. It consists of lots of "stations" where we're forced to do stupid things like squats and push-ups and crunches and stuff that's too awful to be described, and between these stations you have to run many many laps. The really wild winds and rain flinging everywhere felt sooo good by the time I got out of that gym.
Lunch was mainly Zoe and I talking about Gankutsuou and clichéd anime and how mean to our fans we'd be if we were mangaka or anime directors. We also strolled around the campus and checked out the Senior Project posters. I haven't found mine yet, but we found Zoe's--and it's SO cool! I love hers. It's obvious how much effort she put into it. ^^
In Art...I basically just sat and listened to music and did nothing, as my project was already done. We did find this hysterical article on belly buttons, though: http://www.salon.com/health/feature/1999/08/12/bellybuttons/print.html
English was boring. We discussed parethetical documentation, which might be one of the more boring topics I can think of. Especially with the lack of professionality with my sources for my AMV essay. ^^;; I don't think there are any books written on AMVs...
I just read the paper and stuff in Anatomy. Well, and used KK's cell phone to call Mom and tell her I was getting a ride home with Cody. But that wasn't very exciting, y'know.
Cody gave me a ride home, and I've spent most of my time just hanging around on the computer burning stuff and talking to
_tehriah on YIM. Cody called and talked for about twenty minutes with me (which made me happy). I'm currently burning Sailor Moon live action with parody subtitles for Anime Club on Wednesday, 'cause I'll probably be at Mom's tomorrow. I also should probably make a poster...
Gah, I have SO many things I need to do, especially with the Japanese exchange student coming on Friday and all, in addition to Senior Project, college stuff, Anime Club, all the anime I'm supposed to watch, burning stuff for people...
I keep trying to do homework and ending up all scatterbrained, so apparently I don't have much focus today. ^^;; I keep changing task.
