Sorry about the longer-than-expected absence. I was at Mom's all week, and I honestly had no access at all to the internet. I had a fairly good week of no school, and I suppose it was made a little more relaxing because I felt no obligation to update this darn thing every day. I guess. Nah, actually I missed it. ^^;;

Um... Where to start? I don't think I'm going to cover the whole break, though I'll skim over the highlights.

I got out of school on Friday, and KK tagged along. So, we basically had an awesome time. In our attempt at breaking cultural norms, we sat in the middle of the road near my house at Mom's and just...sat. You have no idea how refreshing and fun this was. We were out there for a good...I'd guess three hours, just talking and philosophizing and letting the conversation go wherever. Much fun. ♥ Several cars came, but we always moved out of the way for them, and waved enthusiastically at the drivers (who usually waved back).

As we were leaving our spot in the road, the moon looked so awesome. The sun was just starting to set, but the moon was almost full and all silvery in the sky--but it was surrounded by muted pinks and purples. It looked like something out of .hack//sign. So pretty!

Because Cody was to leave the next morning, after our sitting party we contacted him...but by the time we did, it was too late for him to come over. We mourned and angsted for a while, and then went out stargazing with my chicken Ho-oh, who is currently going quite bald. I taught KK some chicken-language, and we played fetch with Lily for a while, and at some point we decided to hang out in the sauna. XD That was fun, too--it smelled really good in there and offered a nice place to talk, even if Ryan did keep randomly showing up and interrupting.

When we came in, we watched part of Place Promised... but KK was really tired, so we only watched the first half-hour or so. ^^;

Then we woke up and finished it and such. I think we went in the sauna again. I don't remember much else.

Um... After KK left came a bit of an odd period for me. The two days after that, I was kind of lonely-angsty-ish... I guess just because Cody wasn't around and I really missed him. ^^;; Not angsty exactly, not even sad, really, just kind of lonely.

I read up to chapter 13 in Out of the Silent Planet, which I actually think is a pretty interesting story, even though I'm not really connecting with it all the way. As in... I'm enjoying the story quite a bit, but I think there's something a little stiff about the way it's written or described or something that makes me feel very distant from the story. I like the Hrossa.

After several hours of reading that, I was in a weird mood, so I went outside, under the bright indigo night sky, and started howling. The howling turned into every other imaginable animal noise, from elephants to snarling cats to cows to chickens to Pikachu, and I think I sounded pretty darn realistic for all of them. 'Twas lots of fun, really. :D

The moon was so bright that night that Ryan and I talked Mom into taking us out to 49er Bridge to admire the moon. What a sight it was, too! Everything--and I mean absolutely everything--was bright silver, and it was so bright you could see everything almost like it was daylight. Awesome.

I also started reading the manga 20th Century Boys, which is a fascinating story so far. I'd recommend it, although the art does take some getting used to. It's an intriguing storyline, though. :)

I've been wanting to check out Death Note lately, but for once I don't feel like downloading it... I think I'm just going to buy it as it comes out, or something. I just get the feeling I'd like it from what I've read about it. Also, I love Takeshi Obata's artwork, going off of Hikaru no Go. ^_^

Mid-week, Zoe came over and we went with Mom, Ryan, and Jake to the Arden Faire Mall to go anime shopping. Ahh~ that was difficult. ;_; Suncoast was really expensive, so I didn't end up getting nearly as much as I thought I would. I did manage to grab Samurai Champloo vol. 4 & 5, though, and buy back Last Exile OST 2, which I was sorely missing. I haven't gotten to listen to it for more than a year, so it's really nice to have it back. I was sad that I didn't have enough to grab the Gravitation OAV, though. Still feeling a little guilty about that.

We also went to Hot Topic to grab some anime shirts. I hate Hot Topic with a passion, but...meh...they have anime shirts, so I can generally forgive them long enough to grab some. Unfortunately, the Naruto shirts were lacking everything between XS and XL (I suppose they're selling well...), so I didn't get anything. T_T I wanted at least two Naruto shirts... I guess I'll order online.

We went by my Grandma's briefly, and that was pretty much uneventful. We ate ice cream and milled around and chatted with my Grandma about random stuff. She liked Zoe's Samurai Champloo shirt. XD;;

Zoe and I started watching Champloo when we got home (starting at episode six, where she was), went to bed, got up, and had a real Champloo-athon when we woke up. Fourteen episodes, all in all, so I'm on episode 20.

I have concluded I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE all three of the main characters. Don't get me wrong--I liked 'em a lot before, but now I LOVE them. Also, it's an incredibly beautiful, well-done show. I particularly loved the second of the two episodes concerning Mugen's past. That contained some of the more beautiful anime scenes I think I've ever seen. *_* Unfortunately, Lily started howling outside at the best part in that episode, so I started laughing (she sounded ridiculous), and that kind of ruined the moment. XD Oh well. Still beautiful. I'm adoring Champloo right now.

Zoe and I became obsessed with quoting this wonderful flash video: http://www.deviantart.com/view/19823583/ Particularly the whole "schmexy librarian" bit. XD And other parts, too. And we decided we want to make a movie called "SOS: Sharks on Space". It would be "Sharks in Space", but it was late at night and I was crazy and I for some reason thought that "Sharks in Space" abbreviated would be "SOS". So...um, yeah. That whole thing is a weird in-joke.

I started laughing (and eventually crying from laughing so hard) for fifteen minutes just because Silver is tailless. How stupid is that? XD

Zoe and I also sat down and wrote these retarded little parody-drabbles on screwed up Naruto pairings. They're hilarious, and we had so much fun writing them. XD;; Maybe I'll post 'em sometime soon--I would now, but they're on Mom's computer. ^^;; The pairings are: 1. Gamabunta/Hinata, 2. Orochimaru/Akamaru, 3. Jiraiya/Moegi, 4. Lee/Shino, 5. Sandaime/fat!Sakura. XDDD;; Don't even ask. It's not worth the mental trauma. Then, Zoe went to Makayla's and such.

The day before yesterday, KK came over and Cody came home! YAY! So he came right over after I called him, I majorly glomped him, he gave me his conclusions on which college we're going to, and we went to grab RahXephon at my Dad's house so we could have our RahXephonathon.

The three of us cuddled on the couch in various arrangements during the rather long RahXephonathon, which spanned from about 5 PM (?) to 1:30 AM. ^^;; KK really enjoyed it, despite the whole Eva/RahXephon parallels thing. This made me very happy. KK and I, after saying goodbye to Cody--despite our exhaustion--had to discuss RahXephon a little before we went to sleep. Thus, we were up past 2 AM. We slept in 'til noon the next day. XD;;

KK left at about 1 PM, but that's okay because we picked her up again on the way to Dad's house at around 6 PM.

She and I had a great time over yesterday and today. We did a LOT of wandering around the area for no apparent reason. The weather has been so awesome, and it's such a great way to reconnect with nature and ourselves. So, yeah. We walked around. We talked a lot. We ended up at the old forest near Seven Hills where I used to play the epic war!Capture the Flag games, which caused some very vivid flashbacks. We wandered more. We noticed Cody's car was at Nate's house, so we randomly went into Nate's house and stole Cody away from watching video games. XD

With Cody, we ended up playing this hysterical board game in KK's satirical book about America, and it was basically a mock presidential election version of the game Life. Our game pieces were random anime figurines from around my room. Part of the really amusing thing was that part of the game allowed you to have mistresses, so we would choose other figurines and plushies and weird objects to be the "mistresses". Anyway, it was great fun. Much laughing and silliness, and in the first game we played, I kept ending up on the first part of the board, over and over again.

Cody left after several hours of fun, though, and KK and I (surprise surprise) wandered around more, even though it was past dark. We leaped up and down for several minutes because we could see our breath, and eventually settled on some stairs and talked some more. XD Very happy. I'm really comfortable talking to KK, which is cool because I'm only able to open up to certain people. We talked until about 1 AM-ish (although at some point, we were forced inside by Dad), and then went to bed.

Today, we basically just fangirled over things. And watched FMA episodes 25-29. Not going to write any notes about that at the moment, although I'm tempted to. Made french fries. That's about it. I'm sick of being on LiveJournal (I just caught up on reading several hundred entries -_-;;), and I have SasuNaru AMVs waiting to be watched.

I'm sure this entry is really choppy and messed up and funky, but I don't really care. I'm kind of scatterbrained right now, so that accounts for the butchering of graceful thought.

I have the Naruto dub to watch at 9 PM. :P Not looking forward to it by any means, but I feel it's my duty to watch it and wail constantly anyway. Hope they keep Haku a boy--I'm a little nervous, seeing as they broke their other promise (read: the one about keeping the hand-stab scene in).

Mehhhh. Where is Cody and why isn't he answering his phone? -_-;
