Another "I'm Back!" post
Aug. 7th, 2005 07:45 pmNo need to answer with any "Welcome back!"s or "I missed you!"s, because it's seriously going to get redundant after a while. No, really. I'm leaving on another trip tomorrow. XD
Six Flags was all right. Pretty fun, considering we had a run of bad luck that I found amusing. I'm not complaining, it was just funny how everything was foiled. XD;
- Mom didn't like how her car was driving, so we stopped at a mechanic to get it checked out (nothing was wrong), so we ended up at Six Flags about an hour and a half late.
- Even with all of our coupons and stuff, it was still more than $25 each to get in.
- The lines at Six Flags were so big, it wasn't even worth going on any rides.
- It was HOT.
- The one ride I wanted to go on (a water ride) was closed.
- I went to pet dolphins, but they stayed on the other side of the tank the whole time.
- Mom and her friend Donna wanted to ride Roar (a wooden roller coaster), but after about a half hour in line, they announced that it was having technical difficulties.
- They didn't have the flavor of Dippin' Dots I wanted. (Big deal... I just got a different flavor. XD)
- The whale show was only about 10 minutes long because the poor whale was in season and having cramps. ;_; We got to sit in the front row, but she mysteriously missed getting us wet (though she got everyone else wet.)
- The walruses started vomiting in front of us. XD;;
- The penguins were put to bed before we could see them.
- Half the park (the part with the majority of the animals) was closed off before we got to see the animals.
- We wanted to get a funnel cake, but there was about an hour line.
- The shuttle was about twenty minutes late, and we had little kids on our laps because there wasn't enough room for everyone to get in the shuttle.
But the baby sea lion was SOOOOOOOO cute. O_O ♥ And we got to see the dolphins playing like crazy, and it was adorable. ^^
Know what is the surest way to become homicidal?
Try staying in a hotel room with my little brother.
Because Mom invited her friend Donna and her son DJ (Nicole and Makayla...you should remember DJ. XD The one at Tahoe who wouldn't leave the room and ended up crying because you guys beat him up with the pillows?), and therefore we had five people staying in the hotel room. Not normally an issue--we had seven at Fanime--but the hotel wouldn't give us a rollaway bed, so Mom, Ryan, and I had to share an queen-sized bed.
Not only that, Ryan is afraid of everything, so he insisted on having the TV on 'til one in the morning. I was tired, and I need quiet and darkness in order to sleep, so that was terrible. Also, he took all the blankets and I ended up under the mattress cover somehow, and almost fell of the bed because he sleeps sideways. ._.;;
AUGGGHHH.
Today we went shopping while the boys went to Six Flags again, and that was...meh. While I was there, I thankfully found a store that had anime to lurk around in. They had a ton of used DVDs, which was cool, but the only one of interest was FMA Vol. 2, and that was $16 used. I could get it for about that much new...
We stopped at my Grandma's on the way back home, and chatted with her for a bit. It was nice to see her again. :) She gave Ryan and I each $20 for no reason at all, which made me just about the happiest person alive. XD;
Mom had to go to work, but Ryan and I couldn't get ahold of Dad, so we had to go to the hospital with Mom and wait around 'til Dad got home.
I did discover that my Fluke CD has arrived, however. ♥ I haven't listened to it yet, but I'm happy I have it. It came really fast.
I have packing, a shower, and such to do... So, better go for now!
You'll probably hear from me tomorrow. Hopefully. If not, you'll hear from me on Thursday, okay?
