HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SASUKE!

Well, I did write him that fanfic like I promised I would...

AUGH, I really, *really*, REALLY hate how it turned out. >< SERIOUSLY. Just...it sucks. The pacing is all funky, it didn't get across what I wanted to get across, and it's not even one-tenth as angsty as I thought it was when I was writing it.

...I'm sorry, Sasuke. I love you. Really. You're evil and sick and messed-up, but I still love you.

So...um...yeah. I'm going to post it anyway, because I want to give Sasuke his present on his birthday, but I'm going to have to go through and edit like crazy once I figure out what it is exactly that I don't like about it.

Contains spoilers up until episode 135, so if you haven't seen/read that far...don't read. It won't make any sense at all. I'm figuring it takes place about...either six months or a year or something after ( Major spoiler! )

Written in second-person POV, which is baffling to write. @_@

Also didn't turn out as SasuNaru as I wanted it to...

So you know--in case you weren't able to gather this on your own--all the repitition is entirely deliberate. The 'almost's, and anything else that I said over and over again, was done on purpose for rhythm's sake.

The story itself... Like I said, will be heavily edited. I might change the ending. I'll probably expand some of the ideas, and make the mood more apparent. And just make it better.

Feel free to comment on the story, offer constructive criticisms, etc. Normally, I want people to butcher my stories with criticism, but this time... My ego feels rather fragile, because I really don't like the story and now I feel incompetent, so please be gentle with your wording. I also must note that this is my first Naruto fanfic.
