Ah, a little peace and quiet.
Jun. 25th, 2005 07:04 pmToday we drove all the way down to Marin (almost a three hour drive, for the record) to attend my now three-year-old cousin's birthday party. Then, after a couple hours, we left and drove back to Nevada City.
Not a bad drive, at least, because I watched AMVs much of the way down. Unfortunately, the new AMV VCD I had been burning didn't finish on time, so I didn't get to watch it, but I watched my old ones anyway. Speaking of watching things, I still need to watch Naruto 138-140.
Anyway, we listened to random stuff on the way down during the time I wasn't watching AMVs, and the party itself...well, at least my two anime-loving cousins were there. And there was cake and ice cream. It was hard to hold Naruto discussions with my cousins with all the toddlers running around and screaming. >< Of course, this was peaceful compared to our home, which is infiltrated by Ross' family, but ear-splitting nonetheless. During our in-depth Naruto conversations, I accidentally came across a spoiler regarding Itachi. :X Oops. My cousin Jordan is further than I am, on account of his reading the manga and me being to lazy to, so...
Hmmm. Pondering my fanfiction idea. Trying to figure out exactly how to lay it all out and not freak out because not all of my information is going to be completely perfect. I've got to figure something out. I still need a title, too. I have a feeling this would be fun to write (albeit the fact that the mood is dismal), but I need to get everything sorted out exactly before I actually write it.
I've also wanted to work on/revise that SasuNaru kiss drawing so I can scan it, but this is difficult with curious little kiddies about. >.> I mean, how do you explain to a six-year-old why that boy is putting his tongue in that other boy's mouth? I don't know.
For the record, we came home with the house quiet and tidy, so they obviously haven't returned from the lake or river or wherever they went--but we're not sure if they actually headed home to Fairfield or not. I'm a bit scared to find out the answer.
Also, my VCD didn't burn (it errored on the last step), so now I get to reinstall the program...again.
I can't believe Anime Expo is in five days! :D FIVE DAYS! Our digital camera broke, so I'm extremely distraught. I MUST have a digital camera! But it's broken! NOOOO! C'mon...I'm meeting Maaya Sakamoto, I'm organizing the Wolf's Rain cosplay gathering... I NEED a camera. *_*
I miss Cody. ;_; I hope he got to Spain all right... Oh, and I'm trying to call Nicole because she left a message on the answering machine, but so far no one's picking up at her house.
Better go. I have to reboot so I can get that darn VCD burned...
