Ah, today was an average but nice day. It was easy to appreciate the laid-back tone of today because of how much work I had yesterday.

I got to school slightly later than I usually do with Dad because he insisted on trying to print out directions to his first work order with MapQuest, and failed. Thus, I missed all but the last minute or so of Chamber Choir.

In Creative Writing, Rae and I spent most of the period helping the exchange students with their writing. I beta-read one of the girls' papers. It was quite good for someone who is just learning English. The only problems she had were problems with tense, which is tricky to correct. As I result, I brought her paper around with me for the rest of the school day fixing it.

Rae read what I have so far of my Wolf's Rain fanfic (though she has never seen Wolf's Rain) and somehow managed to catch my sly, scant little hints at shounen-ai between Tsume and Toboe. I thought I was the only one who would notice that I put those there... ^^;; She finished what I have, looked at me, and said, "Kristin, do these two, by any chance, have hints at slash between them in the actual series?" I nodded vigorously and demonstrated by explaining the whole Toboe-licking-Tsume's-wound thing from episode four. I forgot to mention the whole "Daisuki" thing, so I'm planning on elaborating on the whole relationship tomorrow, whether she wants me to or not.

She also knows where Thomas lives, so I'm thinking Nicole and I could bribe her into telling us. We must win the competition! XD

Anyway, from that point on my head was going, "Tsumetoboetsumetoboetsumetoboe..." endlessly. ^^;;

In US History I...*gasp*...actually worked for once! At least for a little while. I got half of our assignment done. Pretty good--the assignment is big and due next Friday. He assigned it at the beginning of the period. I'm fast. The first half of the period, I drew...guess what it was.

Yes, it was Tsume and Toboe again.

In Anatomy, I failed the test miserably. I don't know my score yet, but based off of how many questions I guessed on...it was a fail. ^^;; Oh well. Erin and I spent the rest of the period whispering about how cool Kakashi is.

Also, my school has these incredibly stupid things called iFlurtz. They're basically just a survey about what you like, what you wear, what kind of boyfriend/girlfriend you're looking for, etc. The school collects all of them, and then you can pay $1.00 to get a sheet of people you would be compatable with. This is, obviously, not something I'm interested in, so I grabbed a whole bunch of them and am currently filling them out as anime characters. XD Someone is going to get Uzumaki Naruto, Spike Spiegel, Edward Elric, Ash Ketchum, and many, many others on their compatability results. XD;; I wonder if anyone will recognize the names. That would be funny, I imagine. I know I would be very tickled if I actually got results, and one of my favorite anime characters was on it.

Rory liked my idea of filling out the iFlurtz as fictional characters, so he filled one out as Chewbacca. XD;; Except you need a last name, so it was Chewbacca Smith. XD;;;

Oh, and Rosie dressed up in a lovely costume for Mardi Gras. She had this huge, feathery mask and a red boa and bright colored clothing, and she was handing out beads to everyone. XD I dubbed her "The Mardi Gras Bird". Teh awesome.

Lunch was amusing and loud as usual, but I forgot most of it. I know I was confused because Nicole didn't show up for a long time. Then I realized she had been there the whole time, but was studying for History with Emmy behind the file cabinets. I also remember (but I wish I didn't), Joey saying something about making love to Cooper. X_X UGH. YUCK. You all know how much I love shounen-ai, but this is...EGHHH. It was a joke, of course, but was frightening nonetheless.

In Trig, somebody wrote on the board,

'The Duck
Quoth the Duck, "Aflac, Aflac!"'

Random and kind of funny.

In English, even more Gatsby party-ish things were discussed, and then we were talking about Ernest Hemingway's life. There were a number of entertaining aspects about it.

First off, apparently he was known as being very manly and macho. However...when he was little, his mother's favorite thing to do was dress him up in pink dresses and curl his hair and put ribbons in it. He was also, apparently, homophobic to the point that it is safe to presume he was insecure about his sexuality.

Also, his mother was a religious scientist who did not believe in any medicine or hospitals or anything.

His dad was a doctor.

Will someone please tell me how this makes sense?

After school, I hung around in the choir room with Kirstin, Amy, John, Joey, and other people who I can't remember. I drew Pikachu on the board and we discussed Invader Zim and other random topics. John's scalp is still entirely covered in glitter. Cody gave me his Mardi Gras beads (he didn't want them) that he got for being in Chamber Choir, and then Kirstin and her sister and I were trading Mardi Gras beads for desirable colors.

Mom says she'll take us to the Sacramento Collector's Show on Sunday, so I'm going to meet some people from the Wolf's Rain LJ Community there. They'll be cosplaying, so I'm eager to take pictures and talk Wolf's Rain and the such. I have to see if Nicole can come...

Oh! And I have to remember to call KK and wear my Pikachu ears at least once this week.

I'm considering doing that FLCL guide, by the way. It'll take a long time if I do decide to do it, though, as FLCL is very detailed. Nicole and I might sit down one day with notebooks and create it, though. Wish me luck!

Okay, better go. Bye bye!
