Sorry for no updates yesterday. Not that anyone cares, but I feel like I should apologize anyway.

Nicole and I were up 'til 10:30 PM last night critiquing each others' fanfics over the phone, because I never got ahold of KK (she was at a debate). Not a great deal happened yesterday anyway, so you're not missing much.

Today I woke up and had difficulty convincing myself that I could, indeed, get out of bed. At 6:50 AM, I finally convinced myself it was possible, and therefore I lurched out of bed and sleepily checked my e-mail, then left for school.

First period... I honestly can't remember much of first period.

Second period... Nothing happened as far as I remember.

Third period, we had a Code Blue drill (Code Blue is if someone is on the campus with a gun; we basically lock all of the classrooms and hide as far away from the windows as possible.) However, this also wasn't eventful, because Mr. Larsen insisted we keep taking Anatomy notes throughout the drill instead of getting to hide or do anything else dramatic.

Fourth period...completely typical.

At lunch, the very average day took on a bittersweet tone because Cody told Nicole and I that he had to put Puss down. ;_; It turned out she had a very rare disease (I forget what it's called) that caused all of her antibodies to fill her lungs and such, and there was no chance of her surviving. ;_; That was extremely saddening.

Sixth period, normal other than the fact that Mr. Harter didn't give us homework for about the second time this year.

Seventh period, we had another intense/funny discussion about Beloved. Everyone in the class (Mr. Cartan included), kept hissing, "I want your face!" (A line from the book, in case you couldn't guess.) We then casted some people to act out one part of it (just for the fun of it), but for whatever reason only the guys were volunteering (for three female parts). XD The topic then moved to male fashion in the 1920's, which has nothing at all to do with Beloved, but does have to do with the Gatsby party.

Cody decided to go by the place where we adopted the kittens after school, just to tell them about it and possibly get another kitten, so naturally Nicole and I had to come.

Cody's car was getting worked on, so he borrowed one of his friend's cars, which had heated seats in the frony. I got shotgun on the way to the kitty shelter. >D Nicole stole it from me from the kitty shelter to Cody's house, but then I got it from Cody's house to Nicole's house and my house, so I win 2-1.

At the kitty shelter, the people were a little vague about whether they'd give him another kitty for free or not, but we made the decision to wait on another kitty anyway. Cody has to bleach some of the stuff that Puss used to sleep on and such to make sure Boots isn't exposed to the disease too much. ;_; After we discussed the disease with the woman who runs the shelter for a while, we left to hang out at Cody's house.

At Cody's house, we did the usual. Played with Boots (she LOVES the laser I gave Cody and leaps after it like crazy), sat on his waterbed, watched AMVs for long periods of time, watched him play video games, and somehow ended up watching Spongebob and shows on tsunamis.

Then he gave us a ride home, and that was my day.

"Powdered cheese" was the topic of the day, in case you were wondering. You have no idea how much we discussed powdered cheese throughout the course of the day.

I have to call KK after dinner...
