*Sigh* Another stupid bomb threat...
Dec. 6th, 2004 05:40 pmWell, today I arrived at school, and guess what? Yep, there was another bomb threat. This is about the 8th one this year, at least. Somebody apparently wrote grafitti on the wall a few months back that said "NU will end on 12/6."
It didn't, though. What else is new. -_-;; In fact, it was a rather uneventful minimum day. Well...other than the fact that my Mom forgot it was a minimum day, and thus I had to wait about an hour to be picked up.
I just sent my Christmas list to my relatives. I hope I didn't ask for too much... I always feel rude writing those. I know if it was me shopping for someone, I'd much rather have a long list of ideas of things to get them than no list and having to improvise. That might just be me, though. I only asked for five or six things, but one of those things was cash (to buy back my anime CDs... ;_;), and another was about $80 (the Escaflowne box set). The rest were DVDs. And a book of wolf photographs. XD
Chris told me this morning that Kathryn fell out of a tree on Saturday and broke her arm and jaw. ;_; I hope she's all right... I'm definitely going to call her tonight and see if she's doing okay. Man, that sucks. We should get her presents or something. Not that those would help the pain, but it would maybe make her feel a little better mentally.
I'm somewhat busy tonight because I'm going to San Francisco tomorrow with my English class. We're going to the Museum of Modern Art, Chinatown (unfortunately not Japantown. Although it's probably for the better--I'm broke anyway. ^^;;), Little Italy, and we're going Christmas SHOPPING! It'll be a lot of fun, I'm sure. I just need to remember to bring things to occupy myself with on the bus. Namely, my Gameboy and some manga and my CD Player and... *Gets carried away as usual* We leave at 7:30 AM and get back at about 7:30 PM.
Mom tried riding Rivi for the first time yesterday evening. It didn't turn out so well... She had me walk in front of him so he would follow me, but within about two minutes (possibly less), I had to scramble out of the way because he went crazy and bucked my Mom off. >.< She's just fine, though. She landed in a soft mud puddle, and the worst that happened was maybe a bruise. He continued bucking around the ring for at least five minutes after that. It's too bad, though, because now we're a little worried about how we're going to train him. I'm sure he'll turn out just fine, though-- he is only five years old, after all, and he only has had a month of training as far as actual riding goes.
We came in second in the Penny Drive, but only by a slim margin. ;_; Oh well, we got donuts anyway. >D It was awesome. Overall, the school raised more than $2000 for the Make-a-Wish foundation. That's 200,000 pennies. O_O
OH! And I got the rest of RahXephon in the mail today! Now I have all eight DVDs (seven disks are the series, the eighth is the movie.) <3 <3 <3 I'm very happy about that, even though it now means my anime DVD collection has overgrown the huge duffel bag I keep it in. It won't fit even if I stuff all of the side pockets as full as can be. XD I'm going to have to find a solution to that--I don't suppose I could find any bigger duffel bags. ^^;;
I can't watch the rest of RahXephon 'til...either later this week or over the weekend, though. I'm too busy right now. I have a math test I have to do now because the test was supposed to be tomorrow. ._.; I obviously can't take it at school (due to the field trip), so I have to take it at home tonight. Oh joy. Wish me luck.
