Unfortunately, now that I can actually write as I wish to, I don't really feel like it. So, all you're going to get out of me is some concise summaries of the past few days that skip over close to everything.

Wednesday...I don't remember much of the school day, to be honest, but after school we held Anime Club. We had to relocate to Mrs. McDaniel's room because our usual room was being used by the dancers for some unknown reason. I was expecting poor turnout and general unhappiness because my burning of the second Naruto movie was unsuccessful, but actually, my thrown-together-the-period-before Pictionary/Charades game ended up being wildly successful. Everyone was participating, having fun, doing their best, and all over it was just plain a good time. I think that fact that I offered burned anime OSTs as prizes for the winning team helped. ^^;

I worked on my AMV for a while after that--fixed some of the synching errors and such. :p I had some time to work because Joy was birdsitting until about 8 PM.

The writing contest ceremony went fairly well, too. I arrived, had pictures taken with the other winners (second place, third place, and the runners-up). From there it was basically a straightforward, read-your-stories event. I was surprised, this year the second and third place winners' stories were...well...not that great. They weren't bad, persay, they were just very blandly written and didn't stand out much to me. Reading my story went off without a hitch, for the most part, although for some reason I got a little choked up towards the end. It was very...peculiar. It was like I just was tongue-tied and I had a hard time spitting out the words. I don't quite know how to describe it. Anyway, I don't think anyone noticed. Everyone seemed really impressed at the end--I got a LOT of compliments. I collected my prizes (a $150 check, a scroll, and a $25 gift certificate for Book Seller), and basically just left.

Yesterday... I have little to no recollection of yesterday. I went through some minor angst triggered by I-don't-remember-what, thought a lot, and plotbunnies bothered at me. I'm sure other things happened, but I don't remember them. After school, I spent a great deal of time trying to compress my AMV, but issues cropped up with that so I ended up just burning it on a DVD in all its uncompressed, 2 GB glory. I also wrote my speech and read it over about a thousand times, watched The Office with Dad (as is our Thursday tradition--I was particularly touched by it this time), and...um...went on a random car ride in which I listened to Yoko Kanno music and got a natural high off of that. XD; I was frantically scurrying about the rest of the day, though, and freaking out because I had too many things to do and not enough time to do them.

Today was all right, albeit still quite busy. I woke up, fed the birds, we left, Dad drove the birds to Jacqui's...all that. I sat around in first period neurotically reading my notecards on my speech for sixth period English. Kicked the really annoying boys who were tormenting me about the bird out of their usual table. Felt smug about this. Was called a bitch as a result. Didn't care. Ran stuff to the office for Mr. Baxter.

Second period...not much happened. Presentations on the electoral college, but seeing as we had David presenting it was no problem. I read 1984 for almost the whole period. I'm enjoying it a lot. I was very uncomfortable for most of today for various, random physical ailments, and during second period I felt vaguely like someone had put a clothespin on something in my abdomen. Not sure why.

PE was also particularly unpleasant because I didn't feel like running and of course, therefore we did lots of it. My legs felt really strange--continuing the random theme of physical ailment--and there was this shooting pain that started going up them after running. Why? No idea. I'm normally just fine after running. We played basketball today instead of softball, which was a BIG relief. I hate hate hate softball, especially seeing as Mr. Humphers moved me to the team of jocks who are completely competitive arses. I hate sitting out in the boiling sun doing nothing, being pressured into moving when I don't feel like it, and hustling across the field only to have to literally sprint across the school to the locker room. Egh.

We discussed random things during lunch, like dressing up as Sailor Scouts on the last day of school. Or the Fruit of the Loom mascots. I'm not sure what this would accomplish, but it would be funny.

Again, I spent all of fifth period reading over my notecards and spazzing a little over my Senior Project speech.

Sixth period actually ended up being pretty good, though. We ate banana bread and white chocolate brownies, and all the presentations were interesting. One of the girls in the class got a scuba diving permit and she came in dressed in the whole scuba gear. My presentation actually went quite well, minus the fact that I said "um" a lot in the beginning of the speech and the fact that I went two or three minutes over the limit with my video. I was really, really surprised, though--my class LOVED the AMV! This was baffling to me, because I thought they'd only be minorly impressed and interested by even a really, really good AMV, but they loved my mediocre one. I got a TON of applause and compliments at the end of the speech and several people even asked how they could obtain Wolf's Rain. I even got compliments from several people in the class who are accustomed to video editing! It was a big ego boost, and a big relief that the practice run speech was over.

Seventh period, I sat in the library, read a little 1984, listened to music, and tallied how many wolves, random Pokémon, and Pikachu there are currently in my sketchbook for art class. The current tally is: Wolves--79, Random Pokémon--87, and Pikachu--29. XD;

After school ended, Mom picked me up, we picked up the birds at Jacqui's, did a ton of random chores, picked people up (Alexia and Dylan, namely), rearranged the car seatings several times to accomodate all the people plus the birds and the stuff from Dad's house, and went home.

I just...um, played with the guinea pigs, fed the birds, started screening a big cage (hard work--I spent hours on it and still didn't get halfway finished, and hurt my back a little in the process), and...stuff. Princess almost got the bigger of the birds! T_T It was SOOO scary. I was feeding them in my room, and I looked under my bed and found Princess had somehow snuck into my room and was watching the birds intently. As I was trying to shoo her out from under my bed so I could get her out of my room, the bigger bird jumped out of his basket, and hopped right under the bed, about four inches from Princess. I literally screeched, ran over and grabbed him the second he came out on the other side of the bed, put him back in the basket, and dragged Princess out of my room. My heart was beating really fast--it was scary.

Anyway, my neck really hurts from typing and I have a Time magazine just waiting for me to read it (not to mention that it's currently 11:36 PM), so I'm going to go now.

...I still seriously need to do some emotional exploration and some writing-based entries, not to mention some photo entries, but I don't have time at the moment.

Good night!
