Movie Rec -- Once
Oct. 27th, 2012 02:06 amAlso, I've known about/been a fan of this movie for years, but I figured I'd rec it to all of you. I think many of you would enjoy it.
The movie is "Once."

The movie itself I've only seen twice, but I'll see it again, no doubt. It's a profound and genuine movie, low-budget but with great characters and a lot between the lines. What really will stick with you forever, though, is the music. This is, at its very core, a music movie, and once you see it, you'll understand. The soundtrack has been on my playlist for years, never failing to evoke the same deep reaction and adoration from me every single time I hear it. It's not the happiest, seeing as the whole movie is basically the characters struggling with complex emotions through music, but it's incredible, cathartic, emotional music that just gets to me on the deepest level.
You should see the movie and listen to the music forever with me. ♥ When Your Mind's Made Up is in my top favorite songs ever, definitely. (Nevermind that my top songs list is extensive, that's mostly Yoko Kanno's fault...)
