pacificpikachuI dusted all of my fowl for mites again yesterday! It was hard work, as individually capturing and dusting over one hundred birds will inevitably be, but it was considerably easier than last time! I waited until evening to do it, so it wasn't as hot, and towards the end the birds were going to bed, so I was able to easily capture the more difficult ones without trouble. This time I didn't see much in the way of mites, so it looks like the first dusting did the trick, and this one should really wipe out any bug problems.
I've been letting out my turkey/goose/peahen/ducks/big roosters lately while I'm outside, and it's fun watching them get all excited about this. I talked to my neighbor over the fence for probably two hours yesterday, and Augustus the turkey and Klondike the goose spent the whole time standing with me like they were part of the conversation. For hours! It was so funny and cute, and especially because they could have gone anywhere on our acre but chose to stand there with me of their own free will.
Klondike likes to play with Hana, my border collie, by running around with her and flapping his wings. He flies a bit, but thankfully not outside the property. Chelsea was flying around the property, too, and spent some time on the roof of the house and in the trees near the coops.
Turk is an escape artist and somehow managed to get out of his pen in the main coop AND the main coop itself, and he wanted to go back in with the seramas, so I decided to try it on a trial basis. So far so good, but we'll see! That bird is like a person, he's such a character.
Pokéscans is going pretty well! I have almost 100 followers already and I've been slowly going through and scanning more books. It's a lot of work, but at least I enjoy doing it and watching peoples' reactions. Some pages have been reblogged a few hundred times!
I'm feeling much better in regards to withdrawing from Cymbalta. Basically all the way better. I took one Prozac a few days ago, and since then I've been good.
I'm just hanging around and resting today because work has been busy, and I'm going back to work tomorrow morning. Saturday is our big event, so I'll be working all day for that, too. Hopefully I'll have Friday off, but we'll see.
Anyway, things are pretty good around here. I'm still kind of lonely and I always wish I was more productive, but in general I'm in good spirits.
