May. 13th, 2011 01:00 amAnd my sales post is posted! I spent pretty much the entire day on it and thought I was going to go crazy scanning all of those stickers. It seems to be going well so far! It looks like Fanime's finances should be pretty good, which I'm happy about. I think I might even, gasp, set aside money for food this time! (I know, shocking, right?)
Speaking of which, Fanime is coming up fast and I'm excited! There's this particular happy energy that Fanime gives off, even just thinking about it. It's a convention that holds a lot of meaning to me. This will be my eighth year going, and I just cannot picture a future that doesn't involve Fanime. Every year when I arrive there, I feel like I'm home, even if it's just for a few days. It's familiar, bright, buoyant, and every year when I get there I just know I have a fantastic weekend ahead of me. I cherish my time at Fanime every year. I love AX as well but for entirely different reasons. AX is a convention of stress and hurry and waiting in lines, punctuated by moments of sheer awesomeness. Fanime is fun all of the time, consistently, and has just the right balance of hanging out and socializing and actual events that keep you busy.
I have work tomorrow (as well as the Wildlife Rehab Intake Center) and Saturday, and I'm thinking I want to work on my commissions soon. I'm staying busy, but pleasantly so. I daresay it's time to make some lists to make sure I don't forget anything in the midst of my staying busy, though. I've actually been so busy that I've had a hard time getting back to people sometimes, if it's not urgent, and I don't like that!
Part of me wishes I just didn't have to sleep so I could play DS for hours and go on Dreamworld every day without fail, but alas, that would not be a good idea from any perspective. XD I will find time for that on other days, I suppose.
