pacificpikachuSo! My auctions I was freaking out about! I did win them. :D Well, 2/3--the third one went higher than I felt I wanted to spend on it, which is just fine. I'm sure the Japanese bidder I went up against was happy to win it. :) I'm SO happy I won these two, though!
Yep, two more cels! I'm becoming quite a fan of cel collecting, though I am doing my best to be selective in what cels I want. Pokémon cels, though, unsurprisingly, are what I'm most after. Again, though, I'm not going to bid on (much less fight for) cels that I don't want quite a lot. These two were must-wins!

omgitslph linked it to me. It's just perfect! I don't know if there will ever be another cel that's more perfect of these two. It got a little expensive, but it's worth it--and it was quite a bit under my max bid. ambertdd, I thank you so much for allowing me to use your Crescent account to bid on this! It really eased my fears of being outbid at the last minute. 8D
Aaand Sparky! I love Sparky, I never thought I'd be able to get a cel of him! I've been a fan of Sparky since I first saw the episodes with him. (Oddly I am not a fan of Ritchie, though, heh.) Gotta love his tuft and his voice. Sparky is actually why I started kind of collecting tufty Pichu a while back, because the only merch of Sparky is the kid, and tufty Pichu is similar to Sparky in a way. :D ('Cause tuft!) I think I was even tellingomgitslph a while back that I'd love a cel of Sparky, but I didn't think it would happen. :D
So that makes seven Pokémon cels and nine Millennium Actress cels. Not a bad start for my collection! I verified yesterday that one of my Pikachu cels is from Pikachu's Goodbye, too, like I thought, which is awesome because of course that's a very poignant episode.
Here are the cels I'm particularly looking out for:
- Pokémon
Please note Pokémon cels are quite rare considering the length of the series (most were unfortunately destroyed), so why I'm listing so many is because the likelihood of any of these aside from Pikachu and the main characters popping up is pretty low.
Particularly cute Ash/Pikachu cels or just Pikachu, surfing Pikachu (GRAIL), Umbreon cel (GRAIL), a good cel of Misty or even better Ash/Misty (the whole group is fine, too!), Eevee, Mew, Chikorita or family, most water Pokémon, any Eeveelution really, Lapras, Marill or Azumarill (though if it's Marill I would likely letcrimson_angel02 win it!), Politoed, Larvitar, any canine-like Pokémon, Dragonite or family, Seel/Dewgong, Pichu/Raichu... I'm sure there are lots of others I'd be likely to go after as well, but those are the main ones that I'd get excited about. :D
- Cowboy Bebop -- AN EIN CEL! I want one so badly! And I also want at least one nice cel of Spike once I can afford to buy one. A cel of the whole Bebop crew would be awesome but I think it's highly unlikely.
- Millennium Actress -- I dunno what I want specifically from this movie, my nine cels are quite a lot and very nice, but I'd definitely go after the right ones. :D
- The Last Unicorn/Watership Down/The Plague Dogs/The Secret of NIMH/Little Nemo -- I put all these in one category because I think the likelihood of me finding AND being able to afford any of these cels at any given time is unlikely at best. I've seen quite a few TLU cels with vendors at conventions but they're usually $500-$2000+, which is certainly well out of my budget at this point.
I also intend to buy some Now and Then, Here and There cels at some point because they're super cheap and that's a great series, I have my eye on at least one Escaflowne cel (I'd eventually love one of Hitomi, one of Van, and one of Merle but that's a long-term goal), and I wouldn't mind having a Perfect Blue cel as well. I would like an Evangelion cel but I'm not sure what I would want exactly other than maybe Pen-Pen and Eva cels in general usually go for more than I'd be willing to spend.
Anyway, that's my cel babbling for now. I'm soooo happy with what I won! :D Now time to make another entry about different matters because this post got a bit stuck on just one topic and now I don't want to switch it.

However the lot was in a lot worse shape than I thought. ;-; They all smell of mildew and have moderate cover damage. I'm very carefully cleaning all of them to try to get some of the dirt and smell out. The Latis program is unfortunately quite a bit worn, while the Pichu Bros one is in better condition. One of my favorite movies from when I was younger) He always jokingly said that when he died he was gonig to be buried with his cel's because he didn't want anyone else to have them. xD

And likewise I'm keeping my eye out for a Bulbasaur cel for you! :D They may eventually turn up--one of my cels is from the episode where Ash gets Bulbasaur, so perhaps that's a sign that they might be around!
