Mar. 10th, 2010 02:18 pmAhhhh, I'm getting so impatient about my eggs! I've heard peeping from them and saw one of them moving last night, but surprisingly there are no pips so far. I'm beginning to think the whole "serama eggs hatch in nineteen days instead of twenty-one" thing is a myth, as it's day twenty and nada. Come on chickies, it's time to come out!
Yesterday was kind of interesting. I showed up to Japanese and someone in the class went, "You know the midterm is today, right?"
In fact, I did not! And neither did anyone in the class except one person. Hirano-sensei was extremely quiet about it. We sat around asking everyone who came in the door the same question that was asked of me and watching their jaws drop. Nervous laughter abound. Good thing I'm way ahead in Japanese to begin with and therefore aced the midterm without studying, otherwise it could have been a disaster! Especially because that test is 40% of the grade.
Also, my little hen Blackbird was feeling under the weather yesterday. She actually walked right up to my feet yesterday morning and looked up at me like, "I'm not feeling so well. :(" I was amazed by that, and looking her over I discovered she had a mildly impacted crop. I massaged the food downward for a while and that helped immensely. Today, after spending a bit of rest time in the garage with The Salula and Minky, she seemed to be fully better and no longer looked lethargic or fluffed-up, so I put her back in the coop with everyone else.
Finally starting to feel my energy is improving. This might be because I'm terribly excited about HG/SS this weekend, though, as well as my birthday! Nice things to look forward to. I'd better get on breeding myself a team, haha, with only a few days left!
The weather has been exceptionally bipolar lately. One day it'll look like a perfect spring day, and the next, snow, and then back to looking like spring.
